STILL NOISE PODCAST
Lesley Saddington
In Episode 14 of Still Noise I am welcomed into the home of Author, Lesley Saddington.
Lesley Saddington is an Australian writer and mother who has shared a powerful and deeply personal story in memory of her son, Tony Carden — a passionate AIDS activist and proud member of the LGBTQI+ community. In her book I Don't Want to Talk About It, Lesley reflects on Tony’s life, his struggles, and his fearless fight for change during the height of the AIDS crisis. Apart from writing Lesley has lived an extraordinary life; living through the years of WW2 to travelling the world hiking and exploring, her time working as a horticulturist and her experience of great loss and grief. Lesley is 89 years of age and amidst a record breaking storm we sat in her living room, shared a bottle of red wine and she unravelled a lifetime worth of stories and wisdom.
